Bhubaneswar, Sept 25: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has felicitated Santosh Kumar Kar and Dwiti Chandra Sahu at the Lok Seva Bhawan here, Tuesday.
Notably, Santosh Kumar Kar and Dwiti Chandra Sahu were among the 82 teachers, who were hounoured at National Teachers’ Award 2024.
Santosh Kumar Kar is a teacher at Jaya Durga High School, Narla Road in Kalahandi district. Dwiti Chandra Sahu, on the other hand, teaches at Government High School Billesu in Rayagada.
President Droupadi Murmu had honoured the teachers at a ceremony at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi. Both Santosh Kumar Kar and Dwiti Chandra Sahu were recognised for their outstanding contributions to education and for improving students’ learning experiences.
Speaking on this occasion, CM Majhi said, "Such efforts by the teachers at Govt schools will definitely attract kids to choose Govt schools ahead of other private schools."
CM Majhi has also suggested the teachers to promote artificial intelligence (AI) and information technology (IT) and give lessons to students on these topics. "I wish more such teachers come out and make the Govt schools proud," stated CM Majhi.
Besides CM Majhi, Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja, Scheduled Tribes and Caste Development Department Principal Secretary Bishnupada Sethi and OSEPA Project Director Ananya Das were also present at the ceremony.
