CM Majhi Announces Quota, Age Relaxation For Agniveers In Uniform Services

Bhubaneswar, July 26: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, Friday, announced reservation quota and age relaxation for Agniveers in all uniform services in Odisha.

"Up to 10 per cent reservation will be made for recruitment of the Agniveers, who are not in the Indian Army, in all uniform services of the state," said CM majhi while speaking to media persons this evening. "Moreover, the Agniveers will have age relaxation of five years," he added.

Majhi has heaped praise on Indian soldiers and Agniveers. "All the soldiers, who have joined the Indian Army, are our pride and glory. Our Agniveers have also qualified to play important roles in various security fields after their training in the army," the Chief Minister stated.

Praising the scheme, Majhi said: "Agniveer -- a landmark scheme of Prime Minister Narendra Modi -- has helped the youth to be efficient, courageous and competent. This scheme plays an important role in building a youth society that can handle any challenge in life."
