Bhubaneswar, Aug 28: The 'CM Kisan Yojana' will be launched soon in Odisha, said Deputy Chief Minister KV Singh Deo, who is also the Agriculture And Farmers' Empowerment Minister.
The announcement from Singh Deo came Wednesday during the Monsoon Session of the Odisha Assembly. It is also announced that CM Kisan Yojana will replace Kalia Yojana, launched by the BJD Govt.
"Farmers in the state will get Rs 4,000 per year in two instalments -- Rs 2,000 each," stated the Farmers' Empowerment Minister. The farmers will get the first instalment on Nuakhai, while the second instalment will be given on the day of Akshaya Tritiya.
He also announced that farmers, who don't own any land, will get Rs 12,500. "The landless farmers will get Rs 12,500 in three instalments," said Singh Deo, adding that the farmers are required to apply through CM Kisan portal to be able to get the benifits.
In another development, the state government is working towards the farmers, who were unable to get the benifits under PM Kisan Scheme despite being eligible for the facility. The Govt is trying to find a way to help the eligible farmers to get the facility of the scheme.
