Bhubaneswar, Feb 13: Senior BJP leader and former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan initiated a scathing attack on the BJD government and asserted that his party would register huge wins in the ensuing general elections and form government in Odisha.

Chouhan was given a grand reception by the party's State president Manmohan Samal and other senior leaders.

Reacting to media queries, Chauhan said an outsourcing government is running in Odisha, while Chief Minister Naveen has sat silent.

"The Chief Minister is not running government here. Officers are running the government on his behalf. An outsourcing government is running in Odisha," Chouhan alleged.

Chouhan alleged that Odisha is on the top of incidents of violence against women. The State government here has been an expert in hijacking central schemes.

"The Odisha government has been taking advantage of the free rice scheme of the Union Government by changing its name," he said.

He said officers have dipped Odisha into a state of corruption. He said Central funds are not being utilized properly. Officers of Naveen Patnaik are engaged in the rebranding of Central schemes in the name of Odisha government schemes.

"Common people already know the inefficiency and tricky functioning of the Naveen Patnaik Government,"  said Chouhan.

He said the BJP will fight the coming Parliamentary and Assembly elections in full force and register huge wins in both segments. The BJP will form the government in Odisha this time, he asserted.
