Six People Injured AS Car Catches Fire In Road Accident On Bhubaneswar-Puri Highway

Pipili, August 4: In an unfortunate incident, a car caught fire Sunday following an accident on Bhubaneswar-Puri Highway near Bahabaja Chowk in Dandamukundapur.  

Six people have sustained injuries as the car hit a scooty while avoiding a bull on the Highway. 

Reports said that the bull suddenly came in front of the car and the car driver tried to save the animal and hit the scooty in the process resulting an accident. The car lost its balance and overturned falling into a roadside ditch. In a few minutes the car caught fire.

The car was carrying four people and a three-month baby. Fortunately, everyone was rescued in time and are reportedly fine. Although they have sustained some injuries.

After getting the reports, Pipili Fire Brigade arrived at the spot and suppressed the fire. The injured people were taken to Mangalpur CHC after being rescued by the Highway Patrolling Team. Further investigation is underway.
