Bus Hits Road Divider In Angul; 7 Critical

Angul, Dec 17: As many as seven persons were injured critically as a bus in which they were travelling hit the road divider and overturned at Sushab under Kishornagar police station limits in Angul district on Tuesday wee hours. 

All the injured persons have been admitted to the Community Health Centre (CHC), Kishorenagar. 

According to the information, the ill-fated bus, 'Sarangi', was on its way from Bhubaneswar to Sundargarh when the mishap occurred. 

Though the exact reason behind the mishap is not known yet, it is suspected that the driver lost control of the wheels as he felt drowsy. 

About 50 passengers were travelling by the bus. 

Informed, the Bamur fire personnel rushed to the spot and rescued passengers from the bus. The injured were rushed to the CHC by ambulance. 

Police have started an investigation.
