BMC BJD Corporators Asked Not To Air Views In Media

Bhubaneswar, July 4: Disturbed by the squabbling in the city unit of the BJD coming to the fore with corporators airing views, Bhubaneswar North MLA and Bhubaneswar District Organisation Secretary Sushant Kumar Rout Thursday issued an instruction restricting the elected ward representatives and office-bearers from revealing anything to media without prior permission.

"Ass Corporators of the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation and organizational office-bearers of the BJD are hearby informed to refrain themselves from delivering any bytes on electronics media or press, without prior instructions from the party," a letter sent by Rout to Corporators read.

Rout's letter assumes significance given reports that some Corporators held a meeting in a hotel the day before yesterday and a Corporator said some Bibhishans (Betrayers) were in the party. The development indicated an internal fight in the regional party.
