Bhubaneswar, Oct 8: Union Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oram has exuded confidence in Assembly election results in Maharashtra and Jharkhand after witnessing positive numbers in Haryana polls.

"Poll results in Haryana clearly indicate that BJP will form Governments in Maharashtra and Jharkhand in coming days," said Oram.

Speaking on the Jammu & Kashmir polls, the Union Tribal Affairs Minister said that although BJP is currently behind, but the situations of the party candidates are not that bad.

"The people there, however, have voted trusting the Indian Government, democracy and the constitution. This indicates that they want to stay in India. They are willing to be involved in the progress of the country," stated Jual Oram, the Lok Sabha MP from Sundargarh.

The Union Tribal Affairs Minister, however, raised concerns saying some of the people in Jammu & Kashmir are being misled.

"Some cross-border terrorists and other organisations are trying to mislead them. But the election, which was conducted so peacefully, is the answer to those organisations," said Oram.

Despite not being in a strong position in J&K polls, Jual Oram said that BJP is happy with how the polls were conducted peacefully.

"BJP may not get the majority to form the Government in J&K. But a successful election is also an achievement for us," stated the Union Minister.

Speaking about Harayana Polls, he also took a dig at the opposition saying the illusion Congress was trying to create only failed them. "Congress tried their best to create an illusion for the votes of SCs and STs, but they failed to change the people's mind," the Union Minister said.

"The Congress accused BJP that the Saffron party would change the Constitution and we are not following the Constitution, etc. Congress was trying to create a negative atmosphere for us. But they failed to do so," Jual Oram signed off.
