Balasore, Apr 26: Soro BJD MLA Parshuram Dhada along with hundreds of ruling party leaders and workers joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) at a special programme here today.

Parshuram had resigned from the BJD a few days ago, expressing resentment over the party's decision to field Madhab Dhada as the candidate for the Soro Assembly seat. Parshuram had won the seat by a good margin of votes in 2019.

BJP State president Manmohan Samal, former president Samir Mohanty, party's election co-in-charge Lata Usendi and Balasore MP candidate Pratap Sarangi welcomed Dhada and others to the party by offering a shawl and a cap to each of them.
