Bhubaneswar, Oct 19: After a gap of a few months, city police Saturday busted a sex racket that was running in a saloon and spa shop at Rabi Talkies Square in the capital city.

Acting on a tip-off, the  Badagada police conducted a raid on the spa counter and rescued a girl, forcibly engaged in the immoral act, and detained the spa owner and some youths.

Tension ran high in the area during the police raid. The spa owner reportedly beat the informant, leaving him severely injured.

Sources said police would hand over the girl to the family after counseling. Police are trying to know who others are involved in the illegal act. As per law, appropriate steps will be taken against the spa owner and the youths.
