Bhadrak: Six Injured In Group Clash During Ganesh Idol Immersion

Bhadrak, Sept 12: As many as six persons suffered injuries in a clash between two groups during the immersion of Ganesh idol here, Wednesday night.

The clash took place in Palia village under Tihidi Police Station limits in Bhadrak district.

The reason behind the clash is yet to be confirmed as investigation is underway.

According to reports, three out of six injured have suffered critical injuries. The three persons were first sent to Bhadrak Medical before being shifted to SCB Medical College & Hospital in Cuttack.

The incident took place during the Ganesh idol immersion when two groups reportedly had some heated arguments for some reasons. The arguments reportedly led to the clash.

According to reports, the groups also damaged the Ganesh idols during the clash. Following the clash the village has a tense atmosphere.

Taking quick action, Tihidi Police and Bhadrak district administration have deployed four platoons of police in the village to keep the matter in control.

Reportedly, the situation is currently under control.
