Berhampur: Miscreants Attack Couple After Failed Theft Plan

Berhampur, Sept 11: A couple have been attacked by some miscreants late Tuesday night here after the latters' theft plan failed.

The incident took place in Gouda Sahi under Bada Bazar Police Station limits in Berhampur.

The couple has been identified as Satish Kumar Subuddhi and his wife. Satish is a goldsmith by profession.

According to reports, some miscreants, at around 3 am (Wednesday) climbed onto the roof of Satish's house and cut the iron grill to enter the house. 

However, the noise of their activities disturbed the couple, who were sleeping at the time. This foiled their theft plans.

Satish shouted at the miscreants, which led the miscreants to attack Satish with a sharp object. Satish's wife also shouted at the miscreants and opposed them. The miscreants then attacked Satish's wife before they fled from the scene.

Satish and his wife were later rescued and being admitted in MKCG Medical College & Hospital, Berhampur and are undergoing treatment.

A case has been registered at Bada Bazar Police Station in this regard. The police is investigating the matter and searching for the miscreants.
