Bargarh, Oct 20: In a tragic incident, a woman died in an accident near Bisipali patrol pump on National Highway in Sohela.
The woman and her husband were heading towards Sohela when a blue car (OD17M1551), coming from opposite direction, hit the couple's bike (OD17M7202).
The couple were taken to Bargarh Sadar Hospital. However, doctors declared the wife, identified as Pramila Dharua, dead.
The doctor then referred the man, identified as Agasti Dharua, to Bhimsar Burla Medical because of his critical condition.
However, their family opted for a private hospital for treatment. Senior Lawer Lipsit Mishra also visited the hospital and helped the family of the deceased.
The deceased and her husband are natives of Gobindapur village under Bargarh Sadar Police Station limits.
Later Bikash Agarwal, a member of Sankalpa -- a social institution -- spoke to Bhaskar, son of Pramila and Agasti, for the eye donation.
After Bhaskar's approval, Pramila's eyes were collected and now the eyes will give eyesights to two blind persons, said Bikash.
General people have condoled the death of Pramila, while they praised the family of the deceased for donating the eyes.
