Balasore: 3 Forest Officials Injured In Firing By Hunters

Balasore, Mar 19: Three forest department officials were injured, two of them critically, after two hunters opened fire at them in Kuldiha Wildlife Sanctuary under Odisha’s Balasore district.

The two accused have been arrested following the incident.

According to sources, two officials named Khitish Pardia and Biranchi Jena were patrolling with Panchalingeswar bit area forest guard Singhray Hembram were patrolling late last night when the incident took place. 

First, the officials were taken to Balasore Hospital, as two officials were critically injured in their legs, they were shifted to the SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack later. 

Balasore DFO, and ACF have started an investigation into the matter.
