At Forefront Sports Atmosphere: Dharmendra Pradha

Angul, Dec 31: Bagdia in Angul district has its own reforms and identity. Born in this soil, many meritorious children have shown the best of their abilities. Union MiForefrontOfnister for Education, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Dharmendra Pradhan said Bagdia is at the forefront of creating an atmosphere for sports by organising tournaments like cricket and football.

Pradhan said this while attending the opening ceremony of the cricket tournament organised by 'Bagdia Cricket Association' at Bagdia under Chhendipadar area in Angul district. He said that Bagedia is the area that shows expertise in everything. Earlier, football tournament was held in this area and now the cricket tournament has been played. The organisers have planned to organize a volleyball competition in the coming days. Bagedia is at the forefront of creating a playful mindset, he said.

Organizing such a cricket competition is highly commendable in order to attract the youth towards the game through cricket competition in the local area. It was very gratifying to see the enthusiasm and joy between the youth and the local people for the game.

The Union Minister thanked all the members of the association who organized the tournament.

On this occasion, he paid homage to the statue of late Anand Chandra Pradhan, the greatman of Bagdia region.
