Assembly Standing Committee Discusses Shreemandir Issues With SJTA, ASI

Puri, Oct 1: The Assembly standing committee held discussions on the discipline in Darshan of deities, ongoing development work, and security aspects of the Shreemandir with concerned authorities on Tuesday. 

The committee discussed with the SJTA Chief Administrator and Archeological Survey of India (ASI) officials. 
Sources said the committee also discussed the issue of compensation being paid to Daitapati servitors for stopping devotees from climbing Raths during the annual car festival.  

The committee discussed with concerned officials about funds invested in Mahaprabhu's 'Kothabhoga' and steps taken to ensure proper management of the 12th Century Shrine.

The committee reviewed the law and order situation in Puri town yesterday.
