Andhra Pradesh: Three Killed After A Speeding Car Hits Lorry In Nellore District

Nellore, Apr 24: Three people have been killed and two were injured critically when their speeding car hit a lorry from behind near the Musunuru toll plaza in Kavali here early morning, police said.

Among the deceased, two were women. The victims were returning from Chennai.

The accident happened in Kavali Rural Mandal near Musunuru Toll Plaza in Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh, and the injured have been transferred to a hospital, a senior police officer said.

Police inspector Srinivasrao from Kavali informed that the accident occurred due to overspeeding of the car which resulted in the loss of three lives, while two others sustained injuries and were promptly admitted to the hospital.

A few days ago, on April 16, five people lost their lives after a speeding car had hit a parked lorry on the National Highway in Kavali of Nellore district.
