Dhenkanal, July 1: Five students, who had lost their path and remained untraced in the deep Saptasjya jungle in the Dhenkanal district, were safely rescued after a six-hour search operation last night.

According to the information, the four students from Cuttack's Link Road area and one local student of Dhenkanal had gone to Saptasajya, a well-known tourist spot, for a move. They reportedly climbed another hill adjacent to the Saptasajya hill and couldn't find the return path. After it got dark, they got baffled and called their family members over the phone.

On being informed, forest officials of Dhenkanal along with some locals started a search drive at around 7 pm. They finally found the boys sitting on a hillock at around 1 am on Monday.

After a primary health check-up at the District Headquarters Hospital, the students were reportedly handed over to their respective family members.
