Bhubaneswar, Mar 30: In another setback to Biju Janta Dal (BJD) Odia cine actor and former Korei MLA Akash Das Nayak has quit the party on Saturday.
His resignation from the primary membership of the party comes after BJD Supremo and Chief Minister Naveen Pattnaik released the list of candidates for assembly elections and Lok Sabha polls on March 27.
Akash Das Nayak was elected to state legislative assembly in the General elections in 2014 from Korai constituency.
He is likely to switch to BJP sources said.
