62.96 Per Cent Polling Recorded In Odisha till 5 PM

Bhubaneswar, May 13: Odisha registered 62.96 per cent polling till 5 pm on Monday in its first phase of voting for simultaneous elections to Four Lok Sabha seats and 28 Assembly seats under them. 

Among Parliamentary constituencies, Kalahandi recorded the highest polling of 67.07 per cent, while the lowest 58.00 per cent was recorded in Berhampur.

The other two Parliamentary constituencies, Nabarangpur and Koraput recorded 65.67 per cent and 61.43 per cent, respectively. 

According to information, polling is going on smoothly at most of the places. Some stray incidents of violence have been reported. 
Polling started at 7 pm and will end at 6 pm. 

Odisha, which has 21 Lok Sabha and 147 Assembly seats, will also go to vote in three other phases on May 20, 25 and June 1.
