Bhubaneswar, Apr 30: Odisha continued to reel under heat wave conditions as six places recorded 40 degree Celsius and above temperature by 11.30 AM on Tuesday, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

Balasore recorded the maximum temperature of 44.1 degree Celsius at 11.30 AM, followed by Bhubaneswar at 43.6 degree Celsius, Jharsuguda at 42.5 degree Celsius, Keonjhar at 41.4 degree Celsius, Chandbali at 41.2 degree Celsius, Rourkela at 40.4 degree Celsius.
The mercury level was recorded at 39.9 degrees Celsius in Hirakud, followed by Sambalpur at 39.8 degree Celsius, Puri at 34.4 degree Celsius, Paradip at 33.6 degree Celsius and Gopalpur 33.6 at degree Celsius.
Meanwhile, the IMD issued a red warning of heat wave conditions for the twincity of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack today.
