55th NSS Day Celebrated At SOA University In Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar, Sep 26: The importance of National Service Scheme (NSS) for students was stressed at a program organised at Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan Deemed to be University (SOA) to mark the 55 th NSS Day on Tuesday.

SOA Vice-Chancellor Prof. Pradipta Kumar Nanda, who was the chief guest on the occasion, delivered the keynote address highlighting the importance of the NSS movement.

The program, organised by SOA’s NSS Coordinator Prof. Nachieketa K. Sharma, featured activities involving students from different constituent institutions of the university.

The discussions and activities underscored the significance of social service in the lives of students and the spirit of community engagement.

Every year, September 24 is observed as NSS Day across the country. The central mission of NSS revolves around bridging the gap between educational institutions and local communities, with a special emphasis on rural areas.
