Bhubaneswar, Nov 28: In a good news for flight lovers and travellers, the Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar has announced Thursday the expansion its connectivity across India with five new routes.
The five new domestic routes include the direct connectivity to Indore, Dehradun, Lucknow, Jaipur and Cochin (Kochi). The flight services will commence in the first week of January.
The first flights to Indore and Dehradun will take off from Bhubaneswar January 1, while, the flight services to Lucknow, Jaipur and Cochin will commence January 3.
IndiGo flights will fly to Indore four days-a-week while, travellers can fly to Dehradun three days-a-week. The scheduled departure time for these flights from BPIA, Bhubaneswar is 3:00 pm (1500 hours).
The travellers will have to take Air India Express flights to Lucknow, Jaipur and Cochin. The flights will fly to Lucknow and Jaipur three days-a-week each, along with daily flights to Cochin.
In addition, there are plans to have a Bengaluru base departure at 6.15 am and base arrival by 12.20 am from January 4, the BPIA authorities said in a release.
