28 Wild Boars Rescued From Abandoned Well In Keonjhar

Keonjhar, Oct 28: Forest officials rescued as many as 28 wild boars, including cubs, from an abandoned well at Bhagamunda of Junga gram panchayat under Harichandanpur block in Keonjhar district Monday morning.  

However, a cub of wild boar couldn't be rescued as it died in the muddy water. 

According to the information, wild boars fell into an abandoned well while they were moving in a group last night. Some locals first saw the wild boars in the well and informed the forest officials. 

On being informed, local forest officials rushed in and started a search operation. After a few hours' attempt, they managed to rescue 28 wild boars safely.
