2 Minor Girls Drown In Fishing Pond In Mayurbhanj

Mayurbhanj, Apr 16: In a shocking incident, two minor girls drowned while bathing in a pond at Pratap Pur village under Badasahi police station limits in Mayurbhanj district this morning. 

The two deceased are known to be aged about 10 years and 17 years, respectively. 

According to the information, the two girls were bathing in a fishing pond when they slipped into deep water one after another. About an hour after they drowned, villagers fished out them and rushed them to the PRM Medical College and Hospital. However, they were declared dead. 

A pall of gloom has descended on the village following the sorrowful incident.
