Mayurbhanj, Mar 2: In a tragic road mishap, two persons were killed as two motorbikes collided with each other near the Udala-Baripada state highway at Dhanapana Chhack here in Mayurbhanj district today.

According to the reports, Ramakant Hembram of the Kanheibandh area was travelling from home. Jagannath Dehuri and Abhijeet Behera of Khunta area were travelling from the opposite side.

As the bikes rammed into each other, Abhijeet Behera and Ramakant Hembram were killed on the spot and Jagannath Dehuri was critically injured.

Locals saw the accident and rushed them to Udala Hospital, later Jagannath was transferred to Baripada Hospital.

On being informed, Khunta Police reached the spot and started an investigation into the matter.
