1 Cr Subhadra Applications So Far, Re 1 To Be Sent To 2nd-Phase Beneficiaries Today: Parida

Bhubaneswar, Oct 7: As many as one crore women have applied for Subhadra Yojana by now, said Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida today. 

Parida, also Women and Child Development Minister, informed that 32 lakh of 1 crore women have been tagged MPCI eligible beneficiaries. All beneficiaries, enlisted as eligible beneficiaries by October 7, will be given the first installment of Rs 5,000 on October 9 under the Subhadra Yojana, a flagship woman empowerment programme of the Odisha government. 

Parida further informed that the applications received by the State government will be scrutinized thoroughly and eligible ones will be given the first installment of Rs 5,000 by December. 

The beneficiaries, who are scheduled to receive the first installment in the second phase on October 9, will be given token money of Re 1 in their bank account today.  On October 9, they will be given Rs the rest amount of Rs 4,999, she said.
